"You were intended not only
to work, but to rest, laugh, play, and have Take Back Your Time an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life by bringing awareness to the need to take the time to truly live your life - has launched a new campaign called "Take Four Windows of Time". This campaign was adopted from a pilot program developed by the Massachusetts Take Back Your Time Committee in collaboration with the Massachusetts Council of Churches. To participate in this program, simply take 4 windows between now and October 24, for rest, relaxation, and renewal. October 24, 2005 will be the Third Annual "Take Back Your Time Day". Take Back Your Time Day takes place 9 weeks before the end of the year, to emphasize the fact that Americans work an average of 9 weeks more per year than do European workers. Possible activities for your Four Windows of Time:
The Take Four Windows of Time sponsors want to know what your did with your time. You can email your experiences to Gretchen Burger, gretchenberger@prodigy.net , the Take Back Your Time coordinator. They want to compile a "National Take Back Your Time Scorecard" of stories and total number of hours that participants took back. We want the media and our nation's leaders to know how deeply Americans support the need for more time in our lives. Taking back our time is not only a personal choice, but also has public policy implications Please spread the word about the campaign to your friends and family. Your organization can be a Take Four Windows of Time program sponsor. So pull out your calendar, get together with your family and friends or even just yourself- and block out your 4 windows today. Remember, take back your time and dont let circumstances whip you around. Evenstar is a Take back Your Time sponsor.
